HISTORY OF THE
ARAMAIC ENGLISH NEW TESTAMENT
Throughout
history there has been a remnant of Netzari Jewish
and non-Jewish followers of Y'shua that dates back
to the original Shlichim (Sent
Ones/Apostles). Many refer to these people as the
Nazarenes and yet this label has been interpreted in
manifold ways by those inside and outside of the
Netzari (Nazarene) Faith. The Aramaic
English New Testament (AENT) is a product of the
Household of Netzarim Faith. Andrew Gabriel Roth is
a Netzari Jew as are the publisher and editor.
Although some might think it impossible that the
original Faith has surfaced after nearly 2,000
years, this is only because they have not had access
to such communities and, of course, for good reason
as the Netzari Faith was forced underground for many
centuries until it re-emerged in these latter days.
The Netzarim have stood between Judaism and
Christianity, often taking the brunt of estrangement
and persecution from both sides.
Until the
Fourth Century the Netzarim were a visible minority
within Christianity and Judaism. However, over the
centuries the Netzari Faith has made its way into
the public record by mainstream religious leaders
bringing accusation and warning to their religious
flocks away from the sect that either seemed “too
Jewish” for Christians or “too Christian” for Jews.
Just as Mashiyach Y'shua represents the Alap and
Taw, the Beginning and the End, so has a remnant of
people stood for and lived according to the Way, the
Ancient Path of Mashiyach that began at the creation
of mankind.
Within a
pluralistic and relativistic society it is a great
challenge to return to the Ancient Path,
but within that journey the purpose of life is most
succinctly revealed. Certainly the AENT reveals a
clear theological model, but far beyond this
objective is the more profound revelation of your
personal relationship with YHWH and His Mashiyach;
not a theology or statement of Faith but an intimate
relationship. In reality, many people fear becoming
"too religious" because they see the tyranny,
inequalities and hypocrisies of religion but, on the
other hand, Mashiyach (who is Perfection) was
persecuted solely for offering entrance into the
Kingdom of Elohim and freedom from religion.
Mashiyach
is a government, not a religion, but it is within
mankind's quest to be connected to Ein Sof
(the Infinite One) that we reach our greatest
potential. The Aramaic English New Testament
contains many points of relationship through
mediation, prayer and basic principles of righteous
living that draws the neshama (spirit
of man) closer to the Ruach haKodesh (Set Apart
Spirit) of YHWH. The Work of Mashiyach is far
greater than the sum of this translation, but
through a child-like trust and an open, obedient
heart that honors the King of Kings we each are able
to draw closer to the greatest Joy of life, to hear
the Master's voice. This is what it's all about,
and this is what will carry us through.

“And if some of the
branches were plucked off; and you, an olive from
the desert, were in-grafted in their place and have
become an heir of the root and fatness of the
olive-tree; Do not boast over the branches. For if
you boast, you do not sustain the root, but the root
sustains you."
Romans 11:17-18
